born in los angeles, USA. daejungs father was an english professor in the states and his parents had emigrated there years before he was born. his childhood was simple, it was good, he was popular in school, an above average student and he had two parents that loved him. when his grandmother took unwell, daejungs mother hyorin decided that the family should return to korea, where they could look after her, and uphold the tradition of caring for family. so at age 13, his life changed and he moved from sunny LA to Seoul, where he had to deal with a huge culture shock and adjustment.it took a while for daejung to find his footing in korea, his family had never really taught him much about the culture and barely used korean as a language, he struggled and his grades reflected. making friends became harder because despite being full blooded korean, they viewed him as a foreigner, it was at this time daejung was diagnosed with anxiety and depression and found his escape in video games and streaming.once he left school, things began to fall into place, his streaming account was taking off more than ever now that he had the time to dedicate to it, a decision his parents completely disagreed with. he had to use the money he raised from tips and donations on his streams to finally rent an apartment and for years he was distanced from his family due to the dishonour they felt in his life choices. another issue he struggled with that led to his heavy drinking of both caffeine and alcohol in order to get through the day and struggle through his thoughts. but he continued to escape into his games.professionally streaming for over 10 years now, daejung has gathered a large following, entered professional gaming tournaments and has travelled the world. he has began to repair the relationship with his family now that they've witnessed the success his choices have led to. he has branched out from just gaming and now streams regular chats, mukbangs and reaction videos due to the sheer popular demands from his followers. making him one of the most famous and well known twitch platform streamers in South Korea.
